Richard Clerke of Rowanwood - Fighter Poem - triolet

Richard Clerke of Rowanwood
fallen in Fall Crown Tourney, A.S. XXXV

(triolet)

The Rowanwood is dark and deep
Where Richard Clerke persued his fate.
A pithon made Ceara weep
But Rowanwood is dark and deep.
A tyger, as the day grew late,
Sent Richard to his final sleep.
Now Rowanwood is dark and deep
Where Richard Clerke persued his fate.
